This mixed-method study (quantitative and qualitative) investigated challenges in teaching educational psychology at Shaheed Professor Rabbani University of Education.
The statistical population included 310 students and 10 psychology lecturers, and data were collected through a researcher-designed questionnaire analyzed with SPSS.
Findings show that student disinterest reduces teaching effectiveness, while active and regular participation improves learning outcomes.
Although modern teaching methods increased student satisfaction, major barriers included poor classroom environments, limited attention to individual differences, and weak emotional relationships between lecturers and students.
Lecturers also faced institutional constraints such as excessive teaching load, limited academic resources, weak scientific exchange, and lack of professional development workshops.
The thesis concludes that addressing these barriers can significantly improve teaching quality and strengthen the broader education system.
